This is Jose, the first injured warrior to participate in our WORTHsm Programming for Veterans. Jose had never touched a horse before he came to CTRH, but he thought it would be fun to learn to ride. He began with ground lessons, learning to relate to Bentley. Over time, he learned to ride and found it was absolutely as much fun as he had hoped. Jose's participation at CTRH was made possible by a scholarship from the Wounded Warrior Project and PATH Intl.
WORTH (Warrior's Own Road To Horsemanship)SM is provided at CTRH for injured veterans. The program guidelines are those established by PATH's Equine Services for Heroes.TM A PATH Intl. Certified Instructor at CTRH selects the type and level of activity appropriate for each veteran's needs. Both horsemanship (ground lessons) and therapeutic riding lessons are offered.
Scholarships for both pre- and post-911 veterans are available. CTRH is happy to extend these services, FREE OF CHARGE, to any injured veteran with gratitude for their service. Please call 513-831-7050 for more information.
