W.O.R.T.H.

(Warrior's Own Road to Horsemanship)

W.O.R.T.H. is an award-winning program that provides veterans with PTSD, TBI and other conditions and challenges the opportunity to gentle wild mustangs. Here’s how it works:

1. CTRH rescues wild mustangs from crisis situations. For example, the Bureau of Land Management has rounded up 50,000 mustangs which currently languish in holding facilities under horrible conditions.

2. W.O.R.T.H. teaches veterans the horsemanship skills they need to gentle the mustangs. As seen in this link to recent news coverage, the program focuses on establishing trust and leadership with the horses.

3. The process of gentling mustangs brings veterans the healing and sense of purpose they need and deserve. As seen in this link to more news coverage, vets are experiencing outcomes previously unavailable to them:

CTRH extends these services at no charge to any injured veteran, with gratitude for their service.
