If you or your child is interested in becoming a rider with Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship, you will find all the forms and information you need here:
New riders must call 513-831-7050 to schedule a pre-enrollment visit. Acceptance in every program is based upon this visit, when it is determined which (if any) CTRH program is appropriate based on PATH, Intl. Standards.
PATH, Intl. Standards also require that all riders complete a medical form each year. It is the responsibility of riders to inform CTRH of any change in information previously submitted on all forms and releases.
After all paperwork is completed and the pre-enrollment evaluation determines the appropriate program for the participant, you will be given the schedule of available classes. Every effort will be made to accommodate your choice of days and class times.
All riders must wear long pants, preferably shoes with a heel and must be willing to wear a riding helmet.
The weight limit for riders in our Hippotherapy and Recreational Riding programs is 175 pounds. The weight limit for participants in our Equine Services for HeroesTM program is somewhat more flexible, and is based on the PATH Intl. Certified Instructor's assessment of the individual Veteran's ability to mount and ride independently.
