Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship (CTRH) serves children and adults with disabilities by providing equine-assisted activities and therapies including adaptive recreational horseback riding, hippotherapy, equine facilitated learning, and WORTHSM (Warrior's Own Road to Horsemanship) programming for injured veterans.
Since 1985, we have served Greater Cincinnati participants with a variety of disabilities including autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, developmental delay, ADD, ADHD, stroke, visual and hearing impairments, and mental health issues.
The mission of Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship (CTRH) is to serve children and adults with disabilities by helping them lead happier, healthier lives through participation in our equine-assisted activities and therapies including adaptive recreational horseback riding, hippotherapy, and equine facilitated learning.
CTRH is committed to the principle that individuals with disabilities are entitled to the same opportunities and rights as their non-disabled peers.
We are always happy when new participants come to CTRH and experience the benefits and joy of our programs. If you or anyone you know might want more information, check out our programs. If any of them sound appropriate, check out the Rider requirements and paperwork.
CTRH would not exist without the people who give their heart and hands to volunteer. All that we are able to do depends on their assistance and availability. If you are at least 14 years old and think you might be willing to join this group of dedicated people, check out our volunteer page.
